King & Queen

Listed by CAMRA at three stars for outstanding national historic importance, the highest grade on the inventory and the reason to come inside rather than admire the frontage. The main bar is galleried, with a minstrels' gallery running above the drinking floor. Earlier listings and pub records give it as the Old King & Queen.
