Freiluftkino Neue Zukunft

The old screen stood among brick ruins at Pompeji near Ostkreuz until the site had to move; the cinema is now one corner away on Alt-Stralau, with the programme intact. Films skew ambitious and many run in the original version, and the bar belonging to the Neue Zukunft stays open afterwards for the argument about them. The 2026 season runs 30 April to 2 October and opens with the Hausfest on Walpurgisnacht, which makes it the first open-air screen of the Berlin summer and the last one still running.
