Kunstmuseum Basel

The holdings run from Upper Rhine art of 1400 to 1600 through to the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, in permanent and temporary hangs across the Hauptbau on St. Alban-Graben. The museum register dates it 1661, 1836 and 1936: the founding of the city's public collection, and the two later buildings that housed it. A second site, Kunstmuseum Basel | Gegenwart, stands a few minutes away on St. Alban-Rheinweg.
