Fondation Beyeler
Peter Zumthor's extension to Renzo Piano's museum building in Riehen began opening to the public in stages from 26 September 2026, with the full ensemble scheduled for January 2027. Three new buildings, among them the Wyss Museum and a restored Torhaus, sit alongside an enlarged park. The project adds close to 10,000 square metres of gardens, meadows, trees and water features, including a section of the heritage-listed park that had previously been closed off as private. A note on the map pin: open map data offered a close but not exact match for this place, so the marker may sit slightly off. If it looks wrong, please flag this entry so it can be checked.
