Antikenmuseum Basel und Sammlung Ludwig

Ancient art and material culture of the Mediterranean and the Near East, shown in both permanent and changing displays, with the Ludwig collection held alongside the museum's own. The city's museum register lists it under art and architecture rather than archaeology, and gives its dates as 1661 and 1961, the older of the two being the year Basel's public collection was founded.
