Café de Wetering

A corner café behind a screen of vines, in a 17th-century canal house in the Spiegelkwartier antiques district. Regulars crowd the tiny downstairs bar. Upstairs are leather armchairs, an open hearth and, according to one guide, a house cat called Fidel. Cash is accepted.
