Teatro Broadway

Opened on 11 October 1930 to designs by Jorge Kálnay, with the shell put up by the German contractor Wayss and Freytag. The Art Deco front rises about 19 metres off the pavement, a block from the Subte B's Uruguay station on the walk down toward the Obelisco. It has stayed a commercial house rather than a museum piece: the current billing runs to touring singers, with Marta Gómez and Myriam Hernández on the autumn calendar.
