Colosseo Fori Imperiali
The station's full name, and the reason it took thirteen years: two Roman barracks found during excavation were removed, then rebuilt inside the station in their original orientation, a solution that drew archaeologists from abroad to watch it done. The trains and the display cases opened to passengers on 16 December 2025, but the archaeological area holding the two barracks is not yet open to the public and has no announced date. The station was nominated for the 2026 Prix Versailles.
