Hillsborough Castle
The official residence in Northern Ireland of the British monarch and visiting members of the royal family, and of the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland. Historic Royal Palaces took over its management in April 2014, twenty-five years after the charity began running the London palaces, and the castle and gardens later reopened to the public following restoration. A note on the map pin: open map data offered a close but not exact match for this place, so the marker may sit slightly off. If it looks wrong, please flag this entry so it can be checked.
