Zoo Palast

The festival's first venue in 1951; the building standing on Hardenbergstraße now is Gerhard Fritsche's 1957 house, heritage-listed and restored through the early 2010s before reopening to the public in 2013. It still takes premieres, which is why the guides tell people to arrive early and look at the room rather than just sit in it.
