Five levels and thirty metres of multiplex dropped onto Alexanderplatz in 2001, and the festival's east-side workhorse alongside the Potsdamer Platz screens. Taxis have to come in from Grunerstraße to the flanks of the building; there is no drop-off on Rathausstraße itself and no accessible parking. The Berlinale lists the address under the CineStar name.
