Belfry of Bruges

Ken climbs the 13th-century bell tower on the south side of the Markt while Ray refuses and stays below. The space at the top is too restricted to shoot in, so the upper platform was rebuilt as a studio set: visitors report the parapet wall is too thick to look down on the square the way the film does. The city's own film office lists the Belfry courtyard and its three halls as a production base.
