Ponte da Arrábida

This 1963 crossing between Lordelo do Ouro e Massarelos and the Gaia bank carries the Via de Cintura Interna over the Douro. It was built with cycle lanes, which were later removed along with part of the central separator to add a traffic lane in each direction. The Ponte do Freixo was later built upstream, but Arrábida is still the main link between Porto and the south bank. Visitors can now book guided climbs over the top of its arch.
