Bornholmer Straße
The crossing sat at the eastern end of the Bösebrücke, and on the evening of 9 November 1989 it was the first point on the Berlin Wall to open. North along Bornholmer Straße, a strip of open ground still runs beside the former hinterland security wall. More than 100 ornamental cherry trees stand there, a 1990 gift from people in Japan.
