Palazzo Moriggia | Museo del Risorgimento
The city's Risorgimento collection occupies Palazzo Moriggia, built to Giuseppe Piermarini's 1775 design next to the Brera complex. The museum has existed since 1886 and is run directly by the Comune di Milano, which also lists it among the civic sites kept open through the August holidays on the usual 10:00 to 17:30 schedule. French-language signage names it the museum of unification, which is the span its documents and relics cover.
