Milan's civic museums
Map of 11 locations in Milan, Italy
Milan's municipal collections are not a single building but a network the Comune owns and staffs: eight museums inside the Castello Sforzesco, a nineteenth-century palazzo near Brera, an apartment in Porta Venezia left with its furniture, a locomotive works in Via Tortona. A single Tourist Museum Card, 20 euros for three consecutive days, covers one entry to each, and several of the castle rooms are free in the late afternoon. What follows is where each collection actually sits, what is in it, and the standing rule for getting in.
