Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral

Sullivan designed the church and its rectory between 1900 and 1903 for a congregation of Russian and Carpatho-Russian immigrants in what is now Ukrainian Village, working from Russian provincial precedent rather than his own commercial vocabulary: an octagonal drum and onion dome over a small, low body. It remains a working Orthodox cathedral of the Orthodox Church in America, with liturgy on Sunday mornings, so the interior is not a museum piece but a room in use. It is on the National Register and has been the subject of a restoration campaign.
