Textorbad

The 1964 Bezirksbad Sachsenhausen closed in April 2004 and was replaced on the same ground by a public pool built into a senior housing development, at a cost of four million euros. What that gives you is a 25-metre tank with five lanes and a constant depth of 1.35 metres, which suits lane swimming and rules out diving. Doors open at 06:30 every day, with the week tapering from a 22:00 Friday finish to a Monday that ends at noon. Step-free access throughout.
