St. Gereon
The church began as a large mausoleum in a Roman graveyard and still contains significant ancient Roman masonry; the list of the twelve gives a foundation date before 612. It came through the bombing of Cologne with serious damage to its structural integrity but without much outright destruction. The Förderverein calls it the Meutererkirche, the mutineers' church; a photograph of its chancel is held in Georgetown University's digital repository.
