Weichselplatz

Three smooth concrete tables on the Neukölln bank of the canal, ringed by grey concrete benches that form a small arena and stop runaway balls. Footing is small cobblestones, which is fine, and one of the three tables sits slightly out of true; trees and the surrounding buildings cut the wind. Benches fill through the afternoon with strong players, so mornings are the time to get a table without a wait. The square is lit.
