Museumsinsel

The island is on the festival's list of classical highlights, and its draw is the water: the facades face the Spree and the Kupfergraben, so half of what you see is reflection. That makes it the quietest of the Mitte stops to photograph, and the one where a tripod earns its weight. The pin sits on the U5 platform, which puts the Alte Nationalgalerie and the Pergamonmuseum within a few minutes on foot.
