The square is projected on from three sides at once, with music running under the sequence, so the Juristische Fakultät, the Staatsoper, Hotel de Rome and St.-Hedwigs-Kathedrale together come close to a 360 degree surround. It is the one site in Mitte that rewards standing still rather than circling, and long exposures work because the light cycles slowly. Berlin.de names it, with Potsdamer Platz, as the strongest of the hotspots year after year.
