Noordermarkt
Two different markets share the square beside the Noorderkerk in the Jordaan. Saturday is the boerenmarkt, a farmers' and regional-produce market; the brocante, second-hand goods and junk, works Monday mornings and Saturdays. The square has been a market place for some four centuries, and the surface is still sett paving, which matters for anyone pushing a trolley or a pram.
