The Blue Bell
The highest grade CAMRA awards, for an Edwardian interior that has essentially not been altered: two small rooms off a corridor on Fossgate, with the original fittings still doing their job. Pies are the whole food offer, there is no wi-fi, and swearing is not tolerated. A step at the door and narrow doorways rule out wheelchair access.
