Spittelberg

The grid of low Biedermeier houses behind the Volkstheater supplies two consecutive scenes: the street performer whose routine Céline identifies as a birth dance, filmed outside Spittelberggasse 18, and the walk down the Spittelberg Passage that follows. The paving, the doorway and the greenery in the shot are still recognisable, and the same lanes fill with the Christmas market in December.
