Maison de Victor Hugo
Hugo took the second floor of the Hôtel de Rohan-Guéménée on the Place des Vosges from 1832 to 1848, and the museum holds his furniture, mementoes of his working life and more than 450 of his own drawings, many illustrating scenes from the novels. The permanent apartment is free; the house charges only when a temporary exhibition is running. The building is not step-free.
