Catacombes de Paris
The remains of more than six million Parisians were moved into the disused limestone quarries beneath Denfert-Rochereau, and the ossuary is the one part of the municipal network that charges for admission at all times rather than only for exhibitions. The site reopened in spring 2026 with a reworked route after 5.5 million euros of work. There is no step-free access to the galleries, though the toilets above ground are accessible.
