Säynätsalo Town Hall

Built 1949–52 for what was then the separate municipality of Säynätsalo, and listed by UNESCO under Jyväskylä, the city that later took it in. Council chamber, library and staff flats were stacked around a raised courtyard reached by a stepped passage, so the civic programme is read as a route rather than a lobby.
