Hamburg's public swimming pools
Map of 19 locations in Hamburg, Germany
Almost every public pool in Hamburg is run by one city-owned company, so the pricing and the opening logic are broadly shared while the buildings are not: the roster runs from an 1895 Stadtbad under heritage protection to a 2013 hall with a forty-metre glass wall that slides open in summer. What actually separates them is the water, which is what this list records: how warm each pool is held, whether there are 25 metres to swim lengths in or a slide and a pirate ship instead, whether the outdoor basin is heated through the winter, and which halls are shut for multi-year renovations or handed over to school swimming.
