Münster-Therme

Built in a block courtyard behind Münsterstraße in Pempelfort and reached through a narrow passage between two houses, so it is easy to walk past. Badly damaged by bombing and reopened as early as 1945, the Gründerzeit character survived repeated rebuilds; the hall was added to the city's monument list in December 1997 and reopened under its current name after a full refurbishment in 2003. Now run as a health centre: warm-water pool, outdoor brine basin, sauna, gym, physiotherapy and a salt grotto.
