Düsseldorf runs its baths as one municipal network under the Bädergesellschaft, and the Bäderkonzept 2020 programme has rebuilt or extended most of them over the past few years, so what is actually in the water has changed: 50-metre lanes in one district, a movable-floor teaching pool in another, a listed Jugendstil hall hidden in a courtyard off a shopping street. This set sorts them by what you can swim in rather than by district, separating the year-round indoor halls from the summer-only outdoor water, with lane lengths, diving heights and posted hours where the operator publishes them.
