Gate Theatre

Founded in 1928 by Hilton Edwards and Micheál MacLiammóir to give Dublin audiences the European and American avant-garde that the Abbey was not programming, and still working from 1 Cavendish Row at the top of O'Connell Street. The 2026 Dublin Theatre Festival brought Meredith to the stage here.
