Abbey Theatre
The National Theatre of Ireland, which first opened to the public on 27 December 1904 with a bill that included the premiere of Yeats's On Baile's Strand. The building on the list today is not that one: the current house was constructed in 1963 to a design by Michael Scott & Associates, and it holds two stages, the Abbey and the smaller Peacock, both of which carried Dublin Theatre Festival productions in 2026.
