Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum

The first of the federally administered presidential libraries, sited on the highway edge of Truman's home town rather than a university campus. The desk sign reading "The Buck Stops Here" is here, on the museum's reconstruction of his Oval Office desk. The National Archives lists it among the fifteen libraries it maintains, with both library and museum services at the one address.
