Congress Hall

The two-storey brick building where Congress sat from 1790 to 1800 was one of the first parts of the square to come out of the works: the park service reported rehabilitation concluded here before Independence Hall itself closed. Interior plaster was repaired, interior and exterior woodwork restored, metal finishes preserved and the paint scheme redone to researched colours. Entry is free.
