Battle of Pinkie Cleugh

BTL15, fought at Musselburgh in East Lothian on 10 September 1547 between the Kingdom of Scotland and the Kingdom of England during the Rough Wooing, and recorded as an English victory. East Lothian Council's planning guidance names the site among the Inventory battlefields it must take into account when assessing development proposals, and the museum at Musselburgh has mounted its own exhibition on the battle.
