Calvaire (Essex) Military Cemetery

The name comes from Essex House, the building next to the plot, which the 2nd Essex and 2nd Monmouthshire Regiments used when they started burying here in November 1914. Other units continued through to the German spring offensive of 1918. All 218 First World War burials are identified.
