Trump Parc

The 38-storey art deco slab opened on 12 May 1930 as the Barbizon-Plaza Hotel with 1,400 ensuite rooms, built for around ten million dollars by William H. Silk to a design by Laurence Emmons. Trump bought it and the neighbouring apartment house in 1981, closed the hotel on 14 December 1985 and converted it to condominiums under the current name. The 14-storey building next door carries the Trump Parc East name and remains part of the same corner.
