Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C.

The Old Post Office and Clock Tower, a contributing property on the National Register, was leased for 60 years by the General Services Administration in 2013 to DJT Holdings LLC and converted to a hotel that opened on 12 September 2016. It closed on 11 May 2022 after the lease was sold to CGI Merchant Group, and reopened as the Waldorf Astoria Washington DC on 1 June. Photographs of the workers taking the lettering off the Pennsylvania Avenue elevation are dated the day of the closure.
