Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago

Skidmore, Owings and Merrill designed the condo-hotel on the north bank of the river, opened in 2009 with 339 rooms above the residential floors and operated by the Trump Organization. The setbacks were pitched to line up with the cornice heights of the Wrigley Building, Marina City and 330 North Wabash. The lettering added to the riverfront face in 2014 remains the most argued-over piece of signage in the Loop.
