Le Grand Bunker

Built as a command and fire-control post for the guns covering the Orne estuary, the structure runs to five floors and is now the Musée du Mur de l'Atlantique. The interior has been fitted back out room by room, including the technical level, the dormitories, armoury and first-aid post, the signals room with its maps, and an observation position; a roof terrace is open at the top. It is one of the few authentic blockhouses in France kept in this condition, restored under its founders Fabrice and Brigitte Corbin.
