Théâtre antique d'Arles
Built at the end of the 1st century BC, the theatre survives mainly as its orchestra, tiers and the two standing columns that framed the royal door of the stage wall. The commune owns the site; it was classified a monument historique in 1840 and forms part of the Roman and Romanesque monuments on the World Heritage list since 1981. Visitors enter through the reception building on the site, which doubles as the monument's information point, and the route is wheelchair accessible.
